I am not sure what happened to 2013, all I know is that the 3 has changed to a 4 and that 2013 flew by. Things have been busy at the Speth home the past little bit. Having gone back to work in early November, it has been quite the juggling act getting everything done with a baby. I get home and all I want to do is play with Porter nothing else seems quite so important.
To celebrate the New Year, me being off work, and the day before JD went back to school, we drove to the coast. It was a beautiful day for it too, sunny, 52 degrees, and no wind. Oregon weather is odd in that you have wonderful stretches like this in the winter and yet in May it can be colder, wetter, and windier than what it was in January.
We love going to Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach. It was whale week last week but we didn't see any migrating south this trip, a watcher said he was being skunked too and that on the south migration the whales tend to stay further off shore. The tide was out so we got to go tide pooling at the base of Haystack Rock. We then watched the sunset from Moe's Restaurant over our bread bowls of clam chowder. It was a really fun day and it was so nice to be our cute family of three just hanging out.
